Visit dedicated to sourcing cloth and fabric for creating a prototype of our adaptive clothing solution. We assessed various materials to ensure optimal suitability according to weather conditions, climates, and user needs, while considering durability, comfort, and functionality. Additionally, we explored velcro and magnetic closures, zippers, titch buttons, strings, and other accessories.
Bharat Tex 2024
The largest global textile event and exhibition in India, held at Bharat Mandapam. We received valuable insights into the latest innovations that are driving the textile sector forward. Moreover, the event provided a pivotal platform for networking, enabling our team to connect with prominent textile merchants and traders and understand the processes leading to textile waste.
Handicapped Welfare Foundation
Our team visited the Handicapped Welfare Foundation to conduct thorough need assessment and testing. During our visit, we engaged with the community to understand their unique challenges and requirements. This hands-on approach allowed us to gather valuable insights and feedback, which will guide us in refining our adaptive clothing solutions to better serve their needs.
Earth Saviours Foundation
Need assessment initiative aimed at gaining insight into the experiences and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. By engaging with this community, we sought to identify obstacles hindering their comfort, confidence, and independence. This visit provided us with comprehensive ideas to develop solutions that address the specific requirements of our beneficiaries.
Action for Ability Development and Inclusion
Engaging with the team of AADI proved to be a rewarding experience, getting an opportunity to discuss our project with them. Their guidance offered skillful insights on enhancing our project to advance it further. Following our discussions, we also toured their resource center, Sambhav, where we assessed their diverse range of offerings aimed at fostering accessibility and a more inclusive, self-sufficient environment for individuals with disabilities.
Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute for PWD
Visit dedicated to surveying and gathering data on disability in India. Our objective was to understand the circumstances of individuals with disabilities, interact with them, and analyze their distinct needs.
Invest India
During our visit to Invest India, the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency, we discussed a potential collaboration to showcase and promote our project through their platform. This expert assistance proved instrumental in enabling us to critically analyze our project, refining our approach, and strategies for strengthening our project’s foundation and its impact in the future.
